Live from the scene of the crime: PostgreSQL Conference Fall 2007

Wet.  Welcome to Portland.

I'm sitting in the front row of the PostgreSQL Conference Fall 2007, waiting for the fun to begin.  And I'm soaked.

Despite the fact that it wasn't listed on the schedule, the weather gods decided to bring on a nice little downpour this morning, making my 6ish block walk to the PSU campus from the parking garage a nice little treat.  Keep that in mind if I seem a little cranky today.

So the goal here is to jot down my notes live, laptop battery and wireless conditions permitting.  Of course, just like Murphy's stupid little law dictates, everything that can go wrong generally will.  Already ran into that this morning when I first tried to make this initial post about 20 minutes ago on ye olde front page...

Anyway, we'll see how it goes.  If nothing else, I'll post a round-up of my notes this evening from my home computer.  Hopefully.
